Rice ISD Police

The Rice Independent School District Police Department was developed to provide a safer educational environment for students, faculty and staff of our district. I strive to achieve this goal by maintaining a high state of readiness and visibility within the district. I am driven to create a safe and secure atmosphere for greater learning and teaching, and have sworn to uphold and enforce all state and federal laws. The police department is committed to public service to the students and staff of Rice ISD, as well as the community of Rice and Navarro County. I have adopted a philosophy of honesty and ethical behavior.

Jurisdiction, granted by the State of Texas, includes the entire Rice school district and any property owned or leased by the Rice ISD. I also perform regular patrol duties for all of the Rice campuses, provide a police presence for numerous extracurricular events and conduct various functions throughout our schools.

For questions regarding the police department or its function including security concerns you may have, please contact me at 903-326-4287.
